Ho ho ho, its not a typo. Call this a very un-Merry Christmas from his unholiness the Poop. Okay, let's see: protecting the environment on one hand, because global warming will lead to violent weather and kill millions. And on the other hand we have Bert screwing Ernie. Hmmm, I just don't see that spiraling into planetary extinction. Okay, maybe they're extremely freaky ... say, uh, Bert likes to shove his fist up Ernie's ass in the privacy of their own tastefully appointed condo. Ouch. Nasty even. Still, I just don't see how their consensual ass play could possibly doom the world. It does say that when you peek into folks bedrooms you may see some shocking shit.
Why do people still listen to this asshole? The man just blatantly blessed gay bashing. What mankind needs to be saved from is doddering old fools like him, before he sets off another inquistion. Remember that? Another time, another old stupid Pope with a God complex. The parents of the next little gay boy who gets shot in the head for giving another boy a Valentine should sue the shit out of the Catholic church because their senile old Pope can't seem shut his homophobic Nazi pie hole. Felt good to get that off my chest. Merry Christmas! Oh, since I'm on a defiling all things allegedly holy roll ... lets get a closer peek at my childhood best buds, Bert & Ernie. If all the Priests diddling little boys hasn't brought down the brimstone yet, then this is just good fun. ~~ | |

First off, let me state that I'm Irish Catholic. I've also long since seen the light as far as religion is concerned, and harbour pretty progressive views on the subject of religious views/activity (I'm atheist - go figure).
The British Humanist Society has recently raised funds for a campaign to run on public transport, with the slogan "There's probably no God. Now stop worrying and enjoy your life".
It's high time those of us with minds free of the shackles of these backward cults took a more hardline against hate-mongers like the Pope.
Mister Siluwe sir, I salute you.

I agree with you wholeheartedly, Taylor! The Pope should be held accountable for his shameless encouragement of bigotry and homophobia. I still get nauseous over the concept that this man could preach hatred and say it is in the name of God. Given the Catholic Church's track record of pedophiles within its clergy, (so much so that the diocese here has had to close several of its hospitals, because the lawsuits from priests' victims were piling up...) it is the Church that should first and foremost be preaching forgiveness and understanding!
It is exactly this kind of hatemongering that gives impressionable (or unstable) young people "permission to hate" and kill us. The blood of all the victims of gay-bashing is on the Pope's hands, because by his words he makes himself a willing accomplice.
