But with the votes Hillary is targeting, this is perfect for the type of almost subliminal fear of the black man her and Bill have been brewing. Geraldine Ferraro was no accident or slip of the tongue. Like Joe Scarborough said considering Hillary only got 8% of the black vote in Mississippi, 'if Hillary was the one with 92% of the black vote, Ferraro would be shoveling manure in Oklahoma already.' But she didn't, so Hillary let it fester. The bitch. I'm getting off topic -- these two fools above. High profile white women being murdered by black men is the LAST thing we need right about now. That's all I'm saying.

New York Times music/culture vulture flies to The New Yorker

New York Times music critic and official rockism explainer Kelefa Sanneh is leaving the Gray Lady for The New Yorker, where he’ll reportedly cover the “culture” beat; Sanneh wrote about World Changers Church International pastor Creflo Dollar for the mag in 2004 and penned a piece on corporate rap for it in 2002. No word on who will replace Sanneh at the Times–or even if he’ll be replaced, given that the paper’s going to cut 100 jobs from the newsroom this year. [Radar] Congrat's Kelefa!! Is this man fine or what?? I mean talented ... yeah, isn't he TALENTED?

Black Gay Minister missing [Found Dead]

SAN DIEGO -- A car owned by a City Heights clergyman who went missing last week was found near the U.S.-Mexico line Thursday, leading authorities to speculate that he may have crossed the border and failed to return for unknown reasons.

Charles Lanier, 51, a reverend at Unity Fellowship Church on University Avenue, has been unaccounted for since Friday, according to San Diego police. His family reported him missing several days later. This morning, investigators got word that the North Park resident's black 2007 Cadillac CST had been impounded in a parking lot in the 700 block of East San Ysidro Boulevard, just north of the Baja California border. Representative John Lewis, an elder statesman from the civil rights era and one of Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton’s most prominent black supporters, said Thursday night that he planned to cast his vote as a superdelegate for Senator Barack Obama in hopes of preventing a fight at the Democratic convention. “In recent days, there is a sense of movement and a sense of spirit,” said Mr. Lewis, a Georgia Democrat who endorsed Mrs. Clinton last fall. “Something is happening in America, and people are prepared and ready to make that great leap.” Mr. Lewis, who carries great influence among other members of Congress, disclosed his decision in an interview in which he said that as a superdelegate he could “never, ever do anything to reverse the action” of the voters of his district, who overwhelmingly supported Mr. Obama. “I’ve been very impressed with the campaign of Senator Obama,” Mr. Lewis said. “He’s getting better and better every single day.”

Yes. People are starting to wake up. A vote for Clinton or McCain is a vote for the past. A vote for Obama says to the world that this is a New America. And God bless us all .....

~~ Darius Cooke no longer sleeps in the bed he once shared with Keith Jamar Truesdale, his partner of nearly two years. Until he moves out of their Woodbridge, Va., apartment, Cooke says he'll be sleeping on the living room couch.

It's not a situation Cooke, 21, could have predicted just a week and a half ago when he and Truesdale, 23, were finalizing plans to move into a new ''rent-to-own'' townhouse. Just nine months ago, they exchanged commitment rings marking their one-year anniversary.

A single bullet was all it took to obliterate this young couple's happy dreams for the future.

It was Jan. 22 and Truesdale was managing the Popeye's Chicken & Biscuits restaurant in Woodbridge. It was not the Dale City, Va., outlet where he usually worked. He was just helping out, filling in.

Cooke saw Truesdale for the last time that day as he stopped by the restaurant to collect some of the paperwork needed for their upcoming move. After running some errands in the neighborhood, fate allowed Cooke to be in an adjacent bank parking lot as Truesdale took a break. He walked over and surprised Cooke.

Hold FOX accountable for Brokeback parody of Heath Ledger's death!

~~ Towleroad (and Dan Abrams) take on the moronic blacklash in the wake of Heath Ledger's passing. I'd instantly suspected some ignorant heartless souls would link his death to his role in Brokeback Mountain, and sadly I wasn't disappointed.

Man who raped white men gets 99 years

(from the Houston Chronicle) ~ A man who was convicted this week of sexually assaulting a teenager at gunpoint after abducting him from his driveway was sentenced Thursday to 99 years in prison.

The jury also imposed a $10,000 fine on Keith Hill, who confessed to kidnapping and raping four other young men in Baytown during an eight-month spree in 2006. In a statement read in court during the punishment phase of his trial, Hill said he deeply regretted the attacks and hopes his victims "find it in their heart to forgive me."

"It would not happen if I did not have mental issues," Hill added.

He blamed his aggressive behavior on an incident when he was 13, when a "white guy in his 40s" knocked on his door and said, "We're going to have some fun." He said he screamed and ran away after the man touched his "personal areas."
He also said he prayed to both God and the devil for instruction and decided to attack men because "it would be less hard on them."
The judge barred prosecutors from introducing photographs pulled from Hill's home computer. Baytown police said the images demonstrated Hill's fascination with porn, especially "sexual bondage with white males," the Houston Chronicle reported in its online editions.
Hill is black and all the victims are white. ~~

Okay ... not that I feel sorry for him, but 99 years is a little extreme. A black/white thing? A Texas thing? Hmmm .....

Heath Ledger found dead in Soho apartment.

The actor Heath Ledger was found dead ... in an apartment in Manhattan owned by the actress Mary-Kate Olsen, according to the New York City police. Signs pointed to a suicide or an accidental overdose, police sources said. Mr. Ledger was 28.

At 3:31 p.m., a masseuse arrived the fourth-floor apartment of the building, at 421 Broome Street in SoHo, for an appointment with Mr. Ledger, the police said. The masseuse was let in to the home by a housekeeper, who then knocked on the door of the bedroom Mr. Ledger was in. When no one answered, the housekeeper and the masseuse opened the bedroom and found Mr. Ledger naked and unconscious on a bed, with pills scattered around his body. They moved his body to the floor and attempted to revive him, but he did not respond. They immediately called the authorities.

The police said they did not suspect foul play. Officials said they believed Ms. Olsen, 21, was in California and that Mr. Ledger had been living in her apartment. Ms. Olsen attended the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, for the premiere of “The Wackness,” a film in which she stars with the actor Ben Kingsley. It was not clear where she went after the film screening.

Ellen Borakove, a spokeswoman for the office of the city’s chief medical examiner, Dr. Charles S. Hirsch, said that employees of the office were at the apartment and that an autopsy would be conducted on Wednesday.

Mr. Ledger, a native of Perth, Australia, won acclaim for his role as a co-star in “Brokeback Mountain” (2005). The film, based on a short story by Annie Proulx about two cowboys who fall in love, won critical acclaim. Reviewing the film in The New York Times, the critic Stephen Holden wrote, “Mr. Ledger magically and mysteriously disappears beneath the skin of his lean, sinewy character. It is a great screen performance, as good as the best of Marlon Brando and Sean Penn.” ~~

So sad. I fell in love with his performance in "A Knight's Tale", "The Patriot", and of course, the awesome "Brokeback Mountain". I'm at a lose for words. Two of my favorite young actors gone in such a short time. I have nothing else to say.
