Yesterday I had the surprising pleasure of hanging out with one of my favorite SGL artists, Baron. His CD, already a classic by my estimation, and the cut 'Stop' has become one of my favorite get in the mood songs. You might recognize him from the ground-breaking I Am Gay billboard ad campaign in NYC. I've never really had the chance to sit and talk with him before, so believe me, it was a treat. The only other time we talked was a chance meeting @ Luke & Leroy's and the music was too loud ... and I was with my boyfriend. *sigh*
Anyway, we both were at the new Cosi eatery and chill hang-out spot on 8th street to be interviewed by the man himself, DJ from Da Doo-Dirty Show.
The show, who's tagline is Blazing the Best Hip-Hop and R&B on the planet, has become a force to be reckoned with. Everywhere you turn, Da Doo-Dirty Show is popping up and grabbing attention with its bullshit-free, out and proud style.
I didn't exactly hear all the baron. interview (I was too busy taking pictures and looking at his lips. Yeah, the boy got lips that make me wanna get to know him much better), but my interview went well (we talked about everything from Flavaworks to Sen. Larry Craig).
When I know the air date ... you'll know too. But in the meantime, check out the show. You won't be disappointed.
UPDATE: It's live. Here it is, Da Doo-Dirty Show Season 3 Kick-Off!
