Bernie

That someone would find death more appealing than life at 13 is tragic. His friend's remembrance is quite moving.

I agree Bernie. What a world we live in. 13? Such is the power of intolerance and religion-fueled homophobic ignorance.

Here's to a future free of both.

Many of our young sgl brothers and sisters commit or attempt suicide. One in three according to statistics. It is tragic. Some of our brothers and sisters commit suicide through drugs, alcohol, and unprotected sex. We've got to learn to love and support one another. We've got to embrass our youth not in a sexual way but in a manner in which they can see that life is a blessing. You've just got to keep moving forward.

thx for sharing.
i think this displays my generation-well since i am only 19, a little better. growing up as an african american male gay man throughout high school it almost made me suicidial. in my generation we didn't have the strong gay male role models visible enough to encourage that self love. but i can ramble on and on... might as well ramble in my own blog lol
