I like that they did not hide or try to fake the kiss at the end ... ...even making the juicy sounds which let us know they're doing it right -- with tongue. Same sex couples kiss like all lovers do. And its real. And its beautiful. And it should never be faked or hidden in a film. Kudos to sexy young talented actor/dancer... Timothy Paul Brown (resume) and his co-star Braulio Cruz-Ortiz ... for the sweetest kiss we've seen in a minute. We'll be keeping our eye out for Timothy. Young black male actors unafraid to tongue another man down on camera are rare indeed. But their numbers are happily growing. Yay to that! ~

Is that you Omar? Homophobic mob flees when naked threesome pull guns.

In Jamaican news there are always stories of homophobic mob 'justice'. Then there's this story, delightfully depicted I couldn't have written it more salaciously. Annotations in maroon. And since there weren't any photos to go with it, I've added my own. ** On the left below came from a online personals ad. He's Kemary from Denham Town, Jamaica where the incident took place. Apparently he's 21 and lonely. Hmmmm....** [Jamaica Star] A friend of the three men walked into a house where they would normally hang out, and to his surprise found his friends enjoying each other's company a little too much. [What, no locks?! That should be in Fcuking in Jamaica 101 - 'Lock dem door mon!'] THE STAR heard that the three men who are in their early 20's [Mmmmm...] were seen on a bed, two in the nude and the other in underpants, and all sweating profusely. [Why does the below 'Immature' pic come to mind - sans two pairs of "underpants"?] Further arguments are that other residents were alerted and summoned to the house where some became irate.... [WTF!! Neighbors just barge in in Denham Town do they?! I'm totally disturbed] ...and called for a proper beating of the men, but had to make a hasty retreat after the men drew guns. ["Batty WHAT, muthafucka !!??] Yes. There was certainly some fcuking afoot in Denham Town, Jamaica. If only someone had snapped a picture. Oh well. Nice to see the mob running for their lives for a change. Sweet even. Naturally my mind drew images of Omar Little [Michael K. Williams] that iconic gay gangster from the best show to ever grace a television - The Wire. **All about Michael K. Williams at Rod2.0** Omar is a one man kinda gangster, Of course in my version of The Wire... He's a big 'ho who's fcuking Marlo ... ... and Ziggy ... ... and these guys. Ahhh, the thug life .... Yah mon!

Kato Killer Arraigned, and why the Police Chief apologized to reporters.

Ugandan activist David Kato's killer had negotiated money to be "used as a sexual partner" (according to the police chief), but it didn't go down and he killed Kato with a hammer. The authorities are adamant that the climate of terror in Uganda toward gays had nothing to do with it. Even if this is true, Uganda's seething hate for homosexuals effects everything -- even this reporting. Watch how the police chief first stumbled over then apologized after reading the phrase "used as a sexual partner". Were Ugandan reporters expected to pull their hair out and run screaming from the room at the suggestion of gay sex? Were their eyes supposed to bleed? This from the man in charge of investigating gay deaths in Uganda. Yes, the climate in Uganda effects everything. For those you you who don't already know of America's complicity in Uganda's mess, Rachel Maddow links the murder of David Kato to American religious right hatemongers Scott Lively & a Richard Cohen staffer who went to Uganda under the guise as experts to spread the message that homosexuals were out to recruit children and spread disease.

XY magazine making a comeback ... and why its a Good Thing.

Yes... XY, the equally loved and reviled gay teen magazine is staging a comeback. Why is it a good thing? There's a reason why I tagged this 'self-help'. It's a wellness issue. But with gay youth in turmoil and in need of affirming imagery, info, and sense of community to know they're not alone (or disordered) .... ... writer/photographer Alan Bennett Iligan answers that question better than I could in Once I Was A Twink Who Wanted To Be A Writer. After telling his story relating to XY he finishes with these two sentences. It is so well stated it should be shouted from rooftops..... "...Somewhere there is a boy hiding in his bedroom, searching for some small way out, some small chance to connect and believe in something better, some small bit of hope. Sometimes the one thing that stands between that boy hanging himself and waiting out one more night is a magazine that puts two boys kissing on its cover." Beautifully said ...
