VIDEO: Mike Huckabee wants to force Christianity on everyone - AT GUNPOINT!

Hide your kids! Hide your wife! Presidential hopeful Mike Huckabee just admitted that he wants to force his brand of Christianity on everyone, or more specifically, David Barton's loony-tunes theories of America as a Christian nation on everyone, "at gunpoint". Though some smarter than American's aspiring Mullah-In-Chief tried to edit that part of Huckabee's speech away, they were sh*t out of luck. Chris Rodda, who has authored Liars For Jesus: The Religious Right's Alternate Version of American History Vol. 1 which debunks Barton’s brand of pseudo-history, writes: "I had watched Huckabee’s speech. How on earth could I have missed a statement like that? Well, I didn’t. It had been edited out of the webcast that I had watched. Kyle Mantyla over at PFAW’s Right Wing Watch had recorded Huckabee’s speech when it was streamed live on Thursday, and posted the ‘forced at gunpoint’ clip on Friday. By Saturday, when I watched the webcast on the United in Purpose website, that part of Huckabee’s speech had been edited out." Here's the unedited version. AlterNet -- Huckabee has just been caught on video, at a Christian supremacist conference, stating that Americans should be forcibly indoctrinated at gunpoint. The organization which hosted the “Rediscover God In America” conference, United in Purpose, has edited Huckabee’s comment from footage of his speech, but not before People For The American Way’s Kyle Mantyla captured the unedited footage, in which Mike Huckabee states, “I almost wish that there would be, like, a simultaneous telecast, and all Americans would be forced – forced at gunpoint no less – to listen to every David Barton message, and I think our country would be better for it. I wish it’d happen.” David Barton is leading promoter of the American history revisionist theory that America was founded as a Christian nation. He also believes the Declaration of Independence is a "collection of sermons" and the Constitution came straight "from the Bible". Huckabee was the candidate I most feared during the 2008 Republican primary because he clearly aspired to be not only America's Commander-In-Chief but also its Supreme Spiritual Leader. Frightening. So long, Huck'. You've just made yourself unelectable. Amen to that.

Bachmann 2012 - Unleash the Crazies! (brought to you by TARGET)

PROPS for the heads-up: Kaos/Theory Despite offering a tepid apology last summer for giving political contributions to anti-gay candidates, retail giant TARGET continues this practice, even contributing the campaign coffers of Minnesota's Michele Bachmann who compares gay marriage to terrorism and says that same-sex couples are a major threat to American children, and, uh... who is also dreaming of the White House. Oh, the horror. SMDH (@ Target) Emily Dievendorf, policy director at Equality Michigan, put the ultimate punctuation mark on the reason LGBT people should be upset about Target's continued anti-gay political activisism. "When corporations do choose to take active roles in political races, they should be prepared to have consumers interpret their support as an indication of their corporate values." Truer words were never said. Supporters of equality should consider where they put their dollars, and whether those dollars will go to support nightmare candidacies like: Bachmann 2012 - Unleash the Crazies! Congresswoman Giffords shooting: More reason than ever to stop Glenn Beck and his fear monger cronies!

As the nation reels from the shocking news that the Congresswoman from Arizona, Blue Dog Democrat Gabrielle Giffords and others were shot (5 killed, one a small child) outside a grocery store in Tucson, Ariz., while holding a public event, internet rabble is already casting the blame on our nations notorious fear-mongers. Giffords had been targeted before during the Health Care vote and had a brick thrown through here window. As we all remember, fear mongering was at an all time high then, with Sarah Palin accusing Obama of wanting to kill grandma with 'ObamaCare's alleged death panels. A blatant lie which should be criminal, but ironically actually has materialized by the hands of the Wicked Witch of Arizona, Gov. Jan Brewer who stubbornly lets patients die rather than pay for their transplants. With Brewer's odious law to harass brown people and after today's shooting, Arizona is now Hate ground zero. But the witch can only take credit her little death panel (and fostering racial hatred and FEAR in Arizona). But Brewer did actually give a heart-felt press conference for her friend Gabrielle, which made me realize that she is, surprisingly, a warm blooded creature like the rest of us. I only wish she felt as deeply for poor Arizona residents who only needed her signature for life-saving transplants. Sarah Palin had Giffords on her infamous "hit list" which ominously placed the offending democrats in crosshairs, while she adviced her followers to "reload". This is not to blame Palin for the actions of a nut, per se. Are others on her list being stalked by her unhinged fanbase? The connection must be made and discussed.

Mike Huckabee, gearing up for a second ill-fated run for President has been demonizing the Health Care bill and following fellow republicans working for repeal. But its the hyperbolic language he uses, claiming Americans were "kicking and screaming" that they didn't want it, but Congress jammed it through anyway. This is a lie because only the easily misled Tea Party morons didn't want a better health care system - the rest of us did, and still do. And as Rachel Maddow pointed out just last night, the republican repeal effort is an embarassment and political suicide. So long Huckabee, you would have lost anyway. But the rage and paranoia that Huckabee fosters with images of back-room deals harming Americans is also a dog-whistle to the unhinged among us, most packing guns and bibles.

Glenn Beck, formerly everyone's favorite crying clown before our new Speaker Boehner took the crown. But Beck has made a fortune selling fear to the limited intellect of his viewers on FOX 'News' - a Rupert Murdoch faux-news cudgel whose sole purpose is the smash progressive progress in America. Wake up, America. We can no longer allow the Palin's and Beck's and Huckabee's of our country to subvert our democracy by stirring up the toothless and brainless masses, while giving the finger to science, all to further the interests of corporate plutocrats who don't give a rat's ass about the forward progress of America. They don't care about climate change. They don't care about children with cancer. They only care about themselves, money, and power. Keeping Americans afraid and stupid is how they maintain control. Glenn Beck must be removed from the airwaves - go to StopBeck.com and join the fight to end his career now before more people die. Sarah Palin must not be allowed to escape from the reality-TV box she's climbed into. And Mike Huckabee must be made as politically viable a Presidential candidate as Haley (long live the confederacy) Barbour. ~
